Osmosis Love
I am a big fan of Osmosis makeup & absolutely swear by their Mineral pressed base. I have a collection of Osmosis mineral palettes in my makeup kit & there is a shade for every skin tone from the darkest olive through to the palest alabaster. The good news is that their colour range just got even better with the addition of three great news shades, Fair, Beige Dark & Olive (which has just become my daily favorite as it perfectly suits my yellow based olive skin) To chose the correct shade for your skin tone, remember to always test makeup on your face, not your hand as the texture & colour are totally different. Try a few different options on your cheek or jawline & the colour you CAN’T see will be the correct one.
Mineral powder likes to be applied onto a well moisturized skin, as this tends to activate the powder & create an almost creamy texture. The best way to use use mineral powder is directly over your favorite tinted moisturizer, BB Cream or CC Cream as this gives a lovely dewy finish while adding extra colour & sheer coverage. If you prefer total coverage you can use a liquid foundation like Osmosis Long Wear then apply a mineral powder over the top of this to create a matt, long lasting finish. This is something I do often for TV shoots as it makes the skin look absolutely flawless (just like the photo above- thats Osmosis skin!)
Another addition to the Osmosis family is their brand new Finishing Powder, I have been using it as a touch up powder & because it is essentially colourless, it absorbs surface oil & mattes the skin without adding any extra build up. As with all Osmosis products Its loaded with natural antioxidants like vitamin A, C, & E along with Goji Berry extract & Morninga oil, plus its Talc free so your skin will never look (or feel) dry or cakey. This is the perfect compact to carry round daily in your handbag for quick checks & touch ups- I love it.
